MEALS ON WHEELS GETS A NEW DELIVERY VEHICLE
Je Schneider, General Manager of Sonora Subaru, presented the keys to a new Subaru Forester to Mike Ruggles, CEO of
Sierra Senior Providers. Sonora Subaru is donating the use of the Forester for a year. This new Forester will be very helpful
in making meal deliveries to our more isolated, homebound old adults living in Tuolumne County.

MEET OUR NEW C.E.O.
The Board of Directors is please to announce the selection of Leon Casas, Jr. as the new Chief Executive Officer of Sierra
Senior Providers. Leon will be replacing Mike Ruggles who is retiring on April 19th. Prior to joining Sierra Senior
Providers, Leon served as Tuolumne County Director of Recreation Services, Assistant to the Director of Library Services
and as Parish Administrator for St. Patrick's Church in Sonora, CA. He has been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and
most recently was the Volunteer Coordinator for Catholic Charities.
Leon is a lifelong resident of Tuolumne County and lives in Sonora, CA with his wife, Kathy, and their three cats. Leon and
Kathy have six children and thirteen grandchildren.
